Appearance:
Eremo San Quirico Gold, Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC is a Cru and is the emblem of what Nativ is. Eremo San Quirico is the outcome of 200/150-year-old vineyards that are cultivated in a small piece of land on the Taurasi hills, the most suitable lands for vines cultivation. These autochthonous vineyards have an inestimable value, since they are among the survivors that resisted to the phylloxera virus that stroke all European vineyards in the ‘50s. These few vineyards, have a very small production, given their age. But they give one of the most excellent Aglianico grapes. The intrinsic high quality of the grape itself, is furtherly enriched by the wood of French oak barrels of first passage which give structure to the wine, without altering its balance. Production process: Soft pressing and maceration for 20 days in stainless steel tanks, follow the alcoholic fermentation. After the fermentation the must is settled and ready for aging. Aging: 18 months in French oak barrique.
